South East Water will allow Accredited Entities under the Water Industry Accredited Entity Scheme (WIRSAE) to carry out certian defined activity on behalf of a Retailer.
These include:
- Temporary Disconnections for Non-Payment for NHH Customers up to 40mm only (TDNHS)
We do not permit any temporary disconnections for non-payment to be undertaken on the following:
- A sensitive customer such as hospitals, schools, prisons etc.
- A premise on a shared water supply
- A premise where live stock will be impacted
All temporary disconnections must be completed Monday to Thursday before 3.00pm. Our Wholesale Team must be contacted whilst your Accredited Entity is on site prior to the temporary disconnection being completed to allow us to record all details and update our Interruptions Portal accordingly.
Should payment be made by your Non Household Customer, the reconnection process must be undertaken by South East Water to allow us to complete a Water Regulations Inspection and obtain a water sample. It is important that we inspect the site to clarify that re-connection is safe to complete.
We would encourage all retailers to complete a risk assessment prior to any temporary disconnection. For the first temporary disconnection on behalf of a retailer, we would ask that this is completed as a joint task between South East Water Wholesale and your Accredited Entity via a booked appointment.
We are more than happy to be telephoned on 0333 000 0018(opens in a new tab) to discuss a temporary disconnection for non-payment.
